Inspek secures €6M seed funding to accelerate biomanufacturing

NewsPortfolio27 September 2024

Paris, France September 25, 2024 – Inspek, the quantum sensing startup developing sensors for the real-time monitoring of biological and chemical processes announces the closing of a €3.5M see founding round co-led by Breega and Wind and Quantonation, complemented by a €2.5M Accelerator grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC).

With this investment Inspek will be able to accelerate the development and manufacturing of their sensors.

“We all know that bioproduction has the potential to change the world for the better — from enabling new medicines such as cell & gene therapies, to making chemical production more sustainable.”, said Jerôme Michon, co-founder and CEO at Inspek, “Making this a reality is what Ivan-Lazar & myself & the entire InSpek team are after. We’re aiming to provide the highest level of understanding & control of processes thanks to our on-chip optical sensors.”

About Inspek:

Inspek is developing optical on-chip sensors to enable real-time, non-invasive process monitoring for industries like biopharma, biofuels, and sustainable manufacturing, reducing inefficiencies and unlocking new possibilities for scaling production.

About Quantonation:

Quantonation is the first early-stage VC fund dedicated to deep physics and quantum technologies. Field such as high-performance computation, secure communications, drug design or ultra-precise sensing are now driven by innovation based on these disruptive technologies. Quantonation aims at supporting their transition into commercially available products. Quantonation is headquartered in Paris, France, and in Boston, USA, with investments in Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific.
